Katy Cares depends on the generosity of faithful donors and willing volunteers. This past Friday and Saturday, James Ivey and Wayne Miller of the Anchored Sunday School Class, Second Baptist 1463 Campus, sacrificed their Friday afternoon and evening to begin moving a refrigerator/freezer in to the home of a single mother registered in our Ready Sat Go! Program.
They continued moving on Saturday, with the help of Torrey Mosvold and Bryan Williams’s trailer. They went the extra mile to ensure the fridge/freezer was properly installed at the home of the single mother and helped move furniture up to the second floor of Katy Cares offices. Torrey has been involved with Katy Cares the past four years as a donor and faithful volunteer. Torrey and the Mosvold family donated furniture and other household items on multiple occasions.
We thank these Valuable Volunteers for keeping the Katy cares mission alive!
